In a surprising yet heartwarming announcement, Bang Minah, a member of the girl group Girl’s Day, has revealed plans to tie the knot with actor On Joo-wan this coming November.
“After spending a long time together, the couple has decided to walk the path of life as lifelong companions. We ask for your warm blessings and continued support as they begin this new chapter,” said SM C&C, Minah’s agency, in an official statement on July 4.
The couple first met on the set of the SBS drama Beautiful Gong Shim in 2016. Although they didn’t start dating immediately, their bond grew deeper over time. They reconnected professionally through the musical Those Days in 2021 and have since developed a close and meaningful relationship.
Their romance, while largely kept out of the public eye, reportedly began gaining attention in 2023. A source close to the couple shared, “Their dating was an open secret among industry insiders. On Joo-wan was especially supportive when Minah lost her father last year, staying by her side during the funeral.”
The news marks another joyful milestone for the Girl’s Day family, following Sojin’s marriage to actor Lee Dong-ha in 2023. Minah now becomes the second member of the group to marry.
Minah debuted in 2010 with Girl’s Day and has since expanded her career into acting, appearing in dramas such as My Absolute Boyfriend and Delivery Man. On Joo-wan, who started his acting career in 2002, is known for his work in films like The Taste of Money and dramas including Punch and The Penthouse. He is currently performing in the musical Mahagonny.
